Wisdom College of Education
Wisdom Educational Trust was founded in 1990 by the chairman along with nine other altruists, with the primary objective of providing educational service to the people of Cheyyar and the surrounding villages in Tiruvannamalai District. His cherished visions have gradually started realizing with the establishment of the following institutions, Wisdom college of Education was established in June 2008. We are happy to share that the Wisdom college of Education has been taken over by “PON LAKSHMI EDUCATIONAL TRUST” from May 2025.
It is located in the wide campus of Wisdom nagar, Cheyyatraivendran, Thiruvannamalai Dt. It is recognized by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and affiliated to Tamilnadu Teachers Education University (TNTEU). The Wisdom College of Education is one of the brainchildren of revered Chairman and Philanthropist Thiru.P.Thavamani who has been consistently dedicating himself to provide quality higher education to the needy people. Being an idealistic visionary together with vast experience in establishing various Institutions, he is tirelessly rendering unstinted support and guidance to the Wisdom Group of Educational Institutions. As a result, the institutions are steadily progressing onward and upward.
The Govt of Tamilnadu accepted the proposal of the Wisdom College of Education under the self financing scheme, the NCTE accorded the recognition for the B.Ed. course with an intake of 100 students from the academic year 2007-2008 and the Thiruvalluvar University granted the affiliation for the same.
B.Ed College is an institution that offers a professional undergraduate degree designed to prepare students for a career in teaching. “It is a two - year program” that covers both theoretical knowledge of Education and practical teaching skills.B.Ed Graduates are typically qualified to teach at the secondary and higher secondary levels.

To train individuals to become effective teachers, equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to manage classrooms, Deliver lessons and assess student learning. Graduates can pursue various job profiles such as school Teacher, counsellor, administrator, Curriculum developer, Academic Coordinator.
It equips aspiring educators with necessary knowledge, skills and practical experience to become effective professionals in the field of education.

Wisdom B.Ed. College is a catalyst for the dissemination of knowledge and understanding and it stands as an epitome of commitment to meeting the needs of ever-growing numbers of aspiring teachers. Today, Wisdom B.Ed. College imparts high-quality education interwoven with the development of the psychomotor and affective domains.
It can proudly be said that the credit for taking the institution to great heights goes to the Management, Principal, Advisor and Faculty Members, who work together in a spirit of teamwork.

History of the college
Wisdom College of Education, Cheyyatraivendran, was established in 2008. It was recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) under Order No. F.SRO/NCTE/B.Ed./2006-2007/9714, dated 23/12/2006 and approved by the Government of Tamil Nadu under Approval No. TV/R/NEW B.Ed./College/2008-09/A340, dated 16/06/2008. The College is affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University (TNTEU) with the College Code: 12426.
The College offers up-to-date, career-oriented education that is integrated with our ancient culture and traditions. To meet the challenges of the ever-changing modern world, the academic needs of young students are carefully analyzed and the curriculum is periodically redesigned to foster scientific temper and to enkindle creativity in students’ minds.
In almost all disciplines, priority is given to relating the curriculum to local needs. Extensive efforts are made to realize the aims and goals of the College through curricular, co-curricular and community-connected activities.
We hold the view that students, like parents and teachers, are complete individuals who can perform better in life when provided with opportunities to shine.
